As a professional society, the benefits of Community Managers Group membership are designed for and delivered to you as an individual member. Furthermore, beneficial resources are included in your membership at no cost.

One of the largest benefits of CMG membership is the members that the association is comprised of. The CMG was originally created by veterans within the massively multiplayer online game community management field and has increasingly grown in size and experience.

Between the forums, mailing lists, and membership directory, the CMG gives professionals various avenues to discuss questions and procedures, and theories with others in the same field. This gives community managers a private place to share ideas and practices as well as providing a better understanding of the unique aspects in which practitioners operate in various parts of the gaming industry.

It is the purpose of the CMG to unify the community management profession. We have done so by creating an organization that currently represents 100 plus members worldwide. After only a year of collaboration we can already see the benefits of our endeavors and it has been a boon to new and veteran community managers alike.
