Community Manager

Overview: Wikia is searching for rock star marketing and community manager with a passion for games to take the Wikia Gaming Network to the next level.
With over 400 Game wikis attracting over 10M unique users each month, the Wikia Gaming Network strives to be the number 1 user-generated and completely free online resource for Gamers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead growth of Wikia’s Gaming Network, with focus on increased user participation and user content generation.
- Develop and execute internal and external marketing campaigns, events and contests to increase awareness, visitors, and user contribution on Wikia Gaming wikis.
- Aggressively develop relationships within the Game Industry including game publishers and developers, fan sites and forums, and media publications. Manage day to day relationships with content distribution partnerships with other game sites.
- Serve as the voice of the Gaming community by providing feedback and ideas to Sr Management, Product, and Engineering teams to further engage gamers.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in games industry.
- Passion for gaming, and current on online trends including user-generated content and social networking.
- Experience executing online and grass roots marketing campaigns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- BA/BS in Marketing or Business Related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience editing wikis or moderating an online community a huge plus.
